Gintama

Gintama (銀魂) is a shōnen action, comedy, and science fiction manga series created by Hideaki Sorachi. First published in 2003 in Weekly Shōnen Jump, the story takes place in a half-medieval, half-futuristic Japan where aliens called the Amanto have invaded Earth. They impose their law and forbid samurai from carrying their swords. However, Gintoki Sakata, a samurai with an unpredictable personality, refuses to conform to this rule and becomes a freelancer, accepting odd jobs for those who need his services.

Accompanied by his adventurous companions, Kagura, a young girl with an explosive temper, and Shinpachi, a samurai in training, Gintoki fights against injustice while facing enemies who are often as crazy as they are formidable. Gintama is famous for its intense action scenes, its biting humor, and its colorful characters.

This cult manga, which was adapted into a successful animated series, continues to captivate fans with its unique universe, where the absurd rubs shoulders with the epic.
