Akatsuki no Yona (暁のヨナ) is a shōjo adventure and fantasy manga written and illustrated by Mizuho Kusanagi, prepublished in Hana to Yume. Owned by Hakusensha, it tells the story of Yona, a fallen princess who must flee her kingdom after a terrible tragedy. Accompanied by her bodyguard, Son Hak, and new allies, she sets out to find the legendary Five Dragons to reclaim her throne and restore peace. Akatsuki no Yona is beloved for its deep character development and richly detailed world, and was adapted into an anime series in 2014.
